The Boksburg Group was established in 2003 to assist developing countries understand trade facilitation in the context of a World Trade Organisation agreement and has met in a range of developing countries and regions.
Whilst there are a lot of initiatives related to trade facilitation underway, the Boksburg Group has established a unique approach which has proven to be successful. The participants in the group represent key stakeholders in the border management process. This includes senior customs representatives, trade policy specialists and businesses involved in international trade.
