Boksburg Group

Meetings

Since its formation in 2003, the core Boksburg Group has met in various locations around the world.

The meetings are undertaken as Roundtable Workshops. A key to the success of the meetings is a low key informal approach, underpinned by a solid work ethic focused on trade facilitation. Whilst there is a formal agenda the aim is to encourage and promote dialogue between the participants on issues of concern to them in the WTO negotiations.

The participation of the international groups focused on trade facilitation has also been encouraged and participants from the World Bank, the World Trade Organisation and the World Customs Organisation attend regularly.

The participants have been enthusiastic to gain a broader perspective of trade facilitation, actively contributing to the discussion and relaying the Boksburg Groups deliberations to other centres of activity on trade facilitation.
